Is it permissible to wear shoes during Umrah?

Here is the post on Is it permissible to wear shoes during Umrah offered by our travel agency with the cheap and best Hajj and Umrah Packages from the UK. Umrah is a life-changing pilgrimage that atones for humanity’s sins and purifies its spirits. Muslims believe it is a spiritual pilgrimage that begins at a designated Miqat and ends at the Great Holy Mosque, Masjid al-Haram. People must have the right knowledge and intention to carry it out since, without a goal or intention, the voyage might become a hollow waste of time.

The four phases of Umrah are performed in the condition of Ihram. Ihram is a basic garment with identical wearing regulations for both genders, but the form is distinct (male & female). The Ihram regulations for both men and women are self-evident. However, both are confused by the topic of whether or not it is allowed to wear shoes during Umrah. Yes! Everyone is permitted to wear shoes, but which sorts of shoes are most appropriate at this holy moment?

According to Allah SWT, Islam provides each individual with a full rule of life. We’ll try to answer the above query with a Hadith here. According to Abdullah ibn Omar (RA), a man asked: What clothing can the traveler in Ihram wear, O Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him)? He should not wear chemises, head coverings, trousers, burnooses, or kufoof unless he cannot obtain sandals, in which case he may wear kufoof, Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) stated. He should, however, trim them so that they fall below the ankles.

The leather slippers are known as kufoof, and they are akin to comparable footwear that covers the full foot and ankle. Let one of you enter Ihram wearing an izar (lower garment), Rida (over garment), and sandals. Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH said in another Hadith concerning footwear in the condition of Ihram. (Musnad Ahmad). Except for the kufoof, according to the two Hadiths mentioned above, there is no prohibition on wearing sandals, shoes, or flip-flops.

Some pilgrims may believe that shoes are permitted during the Hajj ritual, whereas Umrah is performed in the al-Haram Mosque. As a result, wearing shoes when entering the Mosque and completing two important rites, Tawaf and Sai, is prohibited. Tawaf and Sai are acceptable if the shoes are clean, according to scholars. It is sometimes Sunnah to pray while wearing shoes. The Tawaf rite is exclusively performed in the vicinity of the Kaaba, which is located in Masjid Al-Haram.

Both mountains are placed in this Mosque, and the Sai ceremony is performed between two hills (Safa and Marwah). If you are not careful to prevent pollutants, it is not a good idea to perform Tawaf after wearing any shoes or sandals. There is no reference to shoes being prohibited in the Mosque area anywhere in Islam. When one of you gets to the mosque and finds some dirt on his shoes, let him wipe them and pray in them, our beloved Prophet PBUH said.

(Sunan Abu Dawood)

Slip-on shoes are the ideal sort of footwear since they are easy to put on and take off. You can also wear sandals, flip-flops, and other similar footwear, however, Kufoof is not permitted. The wearing of shoes during the Umrah does not imply that individuals do not value the sanctity of Allah’s house. Respect is shown not just within but even outside the Mosque. The true measure of holiness is when one does good to others and lives out the Lord’s teachings by being compassionate to others.
